New Feature: Task Notes
FieldEdge now provides users, when adding or editing a Task, a Task Notes field. If supplied, the Task Notes will auto-fill in the notes section anywhere that Task is selected.
This can be used for either dispatchers or technicians to ensure that consistent messaging of specific steps for a certain task is always relayed.
New Feature: (Dispatch Board) Tagging System
Building upon the tagging system that was released last month, we have expanded this feature to our Dispatch Board.
Office users may now search for work orders on the Dispatch Board by the customer, address, or tag.
New Feature: Online Consumer Payments
FieldEdge users can now provide their customers a way to pay their work order invoices through a secure online portal accessed through an email link. Online Payments are optimized for both web and mobile browsers. This addition should increase the number of invoices that are paid in a timely manner. Additionally, this should provide customers a familiar and secure way of paying large dollar amounts.
To utilize this feature, users must have Clearent Payments and you will need to obtain a second merchant ID (the second merchant ID is at no additional cost).
New Feature: 5 Day Dispatch Report
Users now have the ability to subscribe to a daily email that will provide a breakdown of scheduled work for the next five days as well as any incomplete work orders from the past week.
This should provide users a way to continue their work day by providing a supplementary view of their scheduled work orders in the event access to FieldEdge is unavailable.
New Feature: EMV Card Readers for both Android and iOS
Users may now accept chip enabled credit card payments within the FieldEdge mobile app via the ID Tech VP3300. This product comes in Audio Jack and Bluetooth variations, providing your technicians a convenient and secure way to collect payments in a timely manner.
New Feature: Track Your Field Service Technicians
You can now track the location of your field service technicians using their smartphones. This should provide you a way to monitor and optimize technicians in the field while improving consumer satisfaction.
