If a customer or a job has a lot of work orders, it may be difficult to find the one you are looking for. In addition, it can be difficult to find a particular work order on the Dispatch Board when you have hundreds listed in a certain group (unassigned, assigned, Completed, or Backorder).
Tags provide customers the flexibility to identify work orders. The ability to add tags to work orders will help office users save time searching for work orders.
Examples:
When a Tag is entered into FieldEdge, the tag will be hyphenated.
- Manager Approved
- Needs Approval
- Multi-tech Assignment
- (Zone labeling)
- (Community name)
- Print/Mail Invoice
- Return Visit Needed
- Permit Required

This feature was added as part of the March 15, 2019 release.
Comments
It would be great if you could create the tag while creating the work order.
This description is vague as usual. It does not explain how to attach a tag to a work order, only how to create a tag which is self explanatory.
We are trying to build out the documentation we have available for all of our users, and there's certainly a lot of documentation! We'll get an article for "how to attach a tag to a work order" as soon as possible. Thanks for the feedback, Tom.
For now, if you have already created your Tag and want to add it to a Work Order, navigate to a Work Order.
You can do a few ways but for the purpose of this explanation I'll use the Work Orders list.
1. On the left side of FieldEdge, click on the Work Orders list.
2. From the Work Orders list, search and select the Work Order you wish to tag.
3. In the top left of the Work Order screen, in the Customer section, look for the Tags section (It's right below the Primary Contact Information).
4. If no Tags have been added to the Work Order, you'll see an Add Tag button and then search and select the Tag you wish to add.
Alternatively, if you don't see an "Add Tag" button this is because at least one tag is already associated to the Work Order.
Instead, click one of the existing tags (be careful not to click the X, otherwise you'll have to re-add the tag you just removed), then search and select the tag(s) you wish to add to the Work Order.
When you're finished, in the top right corner of the screen, click Save and then select Status Unchanged, and choose the Confirm button.
